Guest sentiment
A snapshot of what local diners frequently mention about this location.
"I read the reviews after I went. It was morning, I really needed food and this is the only place I saw open on the street. I can’t comment on service or toilets I did takeaway - I bought two brioches they were warm, not sure if they are fresh though. The pistachio was good. The cannoli and other one was crispy and a bit high on the sugar if you like it a bit sweeter, definitely something to eat with a coffee. Service was normal, I didn’t encounter any rudeness. Yeah they are on the pricey side - we are on an island who is almost solely dependant on peak season tourism. I don’t understand why people get upset when it’s expensive - you’re on holiday in Europe, paying in euros and paying for the convenience - not at a bargain basement sale or third world country where you can haggle on price. So… if you don’t want to pay the high price May I suggest - bring your own food to make your holidays euros stretch a little further :)"
"Great coffee, patio, and atmosphere! Plus a clean restroom! Also, Jesus is coming back soon! Pray and ask Him to come into your heart and repent of your sins to be saved."
"Despite the bad reviews, the crossaint and coffee I had here were p good!"
"Had a nice lunch. The service was prompt and the food good. My Ham & Cheese Panini was nice and hot. We also had a Burano biscuit. They also have a nice selection of baked goods. I do not understand the negative reviews."
"If you're exploring the colorful island of Burano, you must make a stop at Bar Palmisano—it’s the perfect little spot for a quick, delicious bite in a charming setting. After a stroll through the vibrant streets, we decided to pop in for some food and drinks, and we’re so glad we did! The pizza was fantastic—crispy, fresh, and topped with just the right balance of ingredients. It’s simple, honest food done well, and it hit the spot after a day of sightseeing. We paired it with a glass of red wine, which was smooth and satisfying, and a classic Spritz, which was perfectly refreshing. The service was quick and friendly, and the atmosphere was cozy and quaint. The vibe at Bar Palmisano is relaxed and welcoming, making it a great place to take a break, chat, and enjoy your food without feeling rushed. And the best part? It was incredibly inexpensive—such great value for the quality of the food and drinks, especially in such a beautiful spot like Burano. Whether you’re in the mood for a casual pizza, a drink, or just a place to relax while soaking in the local charm, Bar Palmisano is a must-visit. We’ll definitely be back next time we’re on the island! Highly recommend this lovely, hidden gem."
"Sandwiches are super delicious! It is served with a cream for dipping that makes elevates the taste from amazing to superb. Service was also great - they have an English speaking bartender who was able to answer questions and point out which of their sandwiches were vegetarian"
"Popular cafe with some great local wines, nice cocktails and tasty coffees. I was hunting a panini but their wrap styled sandwiches hit the spot. Pleasant and diligent staff, managing multiple orders at once. I didn’t try the pastries but they looked great in the displays. Reasonably priced too."
"This place deserves nothing less than a 5 Star review. Very friendly and attentive staff, delicious food, pastries and espresso. Cleanliness and attention to detail is clearly very important here from the cafe entrance to the restroom, the floors and the seating. Perfect stop for lunch on Burano!"
